The Dartmoor Collective is returning to the spectacular Poltimore House, Exeter, for our second major summer exhibition, featuring an eclectic range of work by 23 contemporary artists, photographers and printmakers all taking their inspiration from the Dartmoor landscape.
Opening times and location
The exhibition is open Friday 25th to Sunday 27th August, 10am-4pm.
Poltimore House is a spectacular Grade II* listed house with a fascinating history, set in 13 acres of grounds on the northern edge of Exeter. The postcode is EX4 0AU. There is plenty of car parking. There is a café serving drinks, delicious homemade cakes and light meals, open Sat-Sun 10.30am-3.30pm.
Entrance to the exhibition and the grounds is free. Donations to the Dartmoor Collective to support our work in promoting and supporting local artists, or to Poltimore House Trust which go towards the renovation of the house, are entirely voluntary but much appreciated.
Meet the artists
On the Saturday and Sunday we will be hosting two ‘Meet the Artist’ events, each featuring 3-4 artists from the exhibition. They will present their work, talk about their inspirations and methods, and answer your questions.
These will be free to attend but numbers are very limited so you will need to reserve your place. To make sure you receive details of how to book as soon as they are confirmed, please sign up to our email list.
Preview evening
Join us on the evening of Thursday 24th August from 6pm for a private view of the exhibition where there will be opportunities to meet with the exhibiting artists and explore over 120 original new artworks for sale, with the backdrop of this unique and remarkable space.
Reserve your space at the preview evening via our Eventbrite page
The preview evening is free to attend but we do ask that you book online so we have an idea of how many people are coming along. You are welcome to bring guests – please specify numbers when booking.
